Are you using Internet Explore and everytime when you try to download an ipsw firmware it always download in a zip file. Well to resolve this all you do is don't use internet explore because it has a weird thing that it will download it in a zip file, so all you do is use Google Chrome, it works best for me so it should probably help you as well.
